GON penetrates through the dense terrain, protecting the friendly and furry from the vicious and hungry. In 2013, an additional chapter was released in Afternoon Magazine (to promote the CGI show), and in 2006, a spin-off titled “Gong Chan” was released in Comic BonBon magazine, which lasted until 2007. It is noteworthy that in 1998 this work was awarded the Prize of Excellence at the Media Arts Festival in Japan. Also in 1998, it received the Eisner Award for the best publication of international material and the best humorous publication at the Eisner Award ceremony.
