He believed that with enough effort, one day he could become like the main characters that fill his childhood stories. Determined, he practiced every day with his improvised wooden sword, endlessly repeating the only sword technique he knew – “parry.” Hours turned into days, days turned into months, and months turned into years. In the end, he brought this skill to the point that he was able to break a thousand branches with it.
